Join Macquarie’s newly created Private Equity team that is being developed to capitalize on Macquarie’s leading position as a global infrastructure investor. The firm is continuing its historic strategy of targeting adjacent growth and believes that private equity is a compelling and sizable long-term growth vector. The investment team is being built in advance of an expected fundraise and there is an opportunity to join as a founding team member. The private equity strategy will focus on upper middle market primarily buyout opportunities ($100-$500m targeted equity check) and invest in private equity opportunities that benefit from Macquarie’s experience across key end markets that include: digital/data centers, transport and logistics, waste and environmental, energy, etc. The fund is expected to invest in business services, industrial products and emerging technologies that service these sectors.

What role will you play?
You will coordinate and drive key components of business planning and deal execution. You will oversee appointment of key due diligence advisors, drive due diligence outcomes, and address key issues. You will oversee financial modeling outcomes, ensuring that due diligence is properly incorporated and be a key contributor in preparing investment committee materials.
Salary range for this position: $195,000 - $215,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. What you offer
- 2+ years of experience working in a top-tier buyout firm preceded by 2 years working in investing or consulting
- Exemplary analytical skills, including strong financial modeling skills
- Proven ability to manage more junior investment professionals, including the ability to mentor associate and be a player-coach
- Strong writing and presentation skills
